    The Purchasing Manager will deliver results across purchasing and inventory planning responsibilities.  Specific accountabilities include supplier strategy, supplier performance, customer service levels, inventory turns, parameter and systems configuration, replenishment strategies for both inbound and inter-network inventory transfer.  Lead team of Buyer/Planners and Product Content personnel to deliver best in class customer experience.  Key metrics will include supplier performance, availability, inventory turns, excess inventory and productivity of replenishment system.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead, manage, develop and mentor Supply Chain and/or Product Attribute Team
    • Collaborate with Product Management on strategic supplier relationships and performance
    • Own all aspects of inventory performance for assigned areas
    • Develop and implement strategy to optimize inventory performance (availability, turns and excess)
    • Configuration of ERP system replenishment and inventory mechanics
    • Maximize technology solutions across replenishment activity
    • Foster and facilitate a Continuous Improvement Culture
    • Represent Supply Chain Management across branch network and external stakeholders
    • Actively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and supplier representatives
    • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Manager - Procurement Team

    Qualifications

    • Five years of progressive experience in Purchasing, Inventory or Materials Management required
    • Two years of supervision/management experience preferred
    • Solid understanding of strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier metrics required
    • Solid understanding of forecasting and inventory planning concepts and technology required
    • Extensive ERP/MRP experience required
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, mathematics or related field preferred
    • CPIM/CSCP preferred
    • Satisfactory score on the Caliper Assessment
    • Ability to read, speak, understand and write English
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure
    • Attendance on a regular and consistent basis
