    • Develop and manage departmental budget goals and strategies
    • Provide personal contact with salespeople, customers and vendors
    • Make regular sales calls to determine client needs
    • Assist clients with special requests and problems (supply information, resolve complaints)
    • Prepare and present special quotations
    • Perform “trouble-shooting” for problems relating to fluid handling products
    • Initiate and manage all promotional activities for fluid handling products
    • Prospect for and establish new accounts
    • Identify and develop new sales opportunities
    • Plan and execute annual product show for customers
    • Gather competitive information
    • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
    • Attend sales and product review meetings; participate in conference calls
    • Keep records as required
    • Maintain high technical knowledge of fluid handling product
    • Stay abreast of product developments, changes in local codes and consumer preferences
    • Recommend to Purchasing Department new product additions and existing product deletions
    • Assist the General Manager in departmental hiring, development, evaluation, retention and dismissal
    • Assist in the promoting of equal opportunity and affirmative action employment practices
    • Participate in trade association functions, local business community affairs, etc
    • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager


    • Five years experience in related trade fields
    • Extensive pump and water well product knowledge
    • Progressive management experience with demonstrated success
    • Computer knowledge and skills with the ability to learn First Supply LLC’s business system
    • Satisfactory score on the Wonderlic Personnel Test and/or Caliper Assessment
    • Ability to read, speak, understand and write English
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure
    • Attendance on a regular and consistent basis
