    The Corporate Product Manager is responsible for strategic planning and implementation for the entire PVF product segment / product life cycle to drive market share gains, budget obtainment, margin improvements and profitable top-line revenue increases.  The PVF product segments include: Pipe-Valves-Fittings and our Industrial business.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for strategic planning for given product segment
    • Driving a solution set across product selection teams through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
    • Design market research projects to assess customer attitudes to the current product range and new product introductions. Manage research with in-house staff or an outside agency; including, initial identification of suitable partner, definition of responsibilities, communication plan, divisions of responsibility, milestones, contract with company, review transcripts and reports, and recommend action plans from the research.
    • Define the product strategy and roadmap
    • Analyze potential external third-party partner relationships for the product segment including licensing opportunities
    • Recommend product and companies to be added and/or removed from inventory
    • Work with new and existing vendors to create co-op programs
    • Develop core positioning and messaging for the product segment
    • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
    • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
    • Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with other departments (Marketing, IT, Purchasing and Finance) to execute.
    • Monitor inventory levels held at central and local warehouses including liaison with Purchasing to ensure supply timelines.
    • Responsible for providing the sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product. This involves printed and electronic promotional material, product training, and relevant clinical papers.
    • Responsible for reviewing product data to ensure that the field is kept up to date on new developments regarding the company’s or competitors’ products.
    • Assist with the development of the annual marketing plan and for controlling advertising, promotion and sales aids in accordance with the annual marketing plan.
    • Liaise with the Marketing Department regarding the product campaign including advertising, and conferences.
    • Present plans and updates to sales force at sales meetings
    • Act as a leader within the company
    • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of industry experience related to selling and marketing of products
    • Experience developing product-focused marketing plans
    • Ability to analyze technical aspects and benefits of the product line
    • Solid presentation skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, staff members and vendors on technical issues
    • Competent computer knowledge and skills with the ability to learn First Supply LLC’s business system
    • Seasoned negotiator
    • Ability to travel within the First Supply territory at least 10-15% of the work week
    • Ability to travel on a limited basis within the U.S.
    • Satisfactory score on the Wonderlic Personnel Test
    • Ability to read, speak, understand and write English
    • Attendance on a regular and consistent basis
