    The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for collection and curation of supplier product information, as well as its maintenance within the ERP & eCommerce system. The position is also accountable for publishing the product content to the appropriate product groups within the content system hierarchy. Additionally, the Digital Content Specialist will assist in the ongoing development of online content best practices for product information collection, manipulation and publishing.


    • Partner with suppliers and purchasers to enforce the consistency of the online product representation, including (but not limited to):

    • Product descriptions

    • Technical attribute/value selection & population

    • Product imagery, support documentation

    • Taxonomy and product grouping strategy

    • Product relationships (family/parent/child, affinity, alternates…)

    • Define required data points by product category to standardize collected information

    • Take ownership of your products and ensure content is relevant, accurate and timely

    • Optimize content including copy, metadata, titles, descriptions, alt tags

    • Assure online product hierarchy, groupings and related content align with merchandising strategy

    • Complete all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of eCommerce


    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred

    • Experience with product data and Product Information Management systems

    • 2+ years experience developing and deploying online product content required

    • Demonstrated ability to aggregate, analyze, and present data gathered from multiple sources, develop conclusions, and make recommendations

    • Minimum of intermediate-level ability with Microsoft Office products: especially Excel

    • Ability to analyze attributed product data and then associating data to appropriate product categories

    • Competent computer knowledge and skills with the ability to learn First Supply LLC’s business system

    • Drug test with negative results on employment offer

    • Drug & breath alcohol testing will be conducted randomly and for reasonable suspicion and after some accidents thereafter

    • Ability to be bonded as defined by First Supply Group’s fidelity bond insurance carrier

    • Satisfactory score on the Wonderlic Personnel Test and/or Caliper Assessment

    • Valid drivers license and a driving record which meets underwriting standards

    • Ability to read, speak, understand and write English

    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure

    • Attendance on a regular and consistent basis
