    The individual in this role will be responsible for providing outstanding administrative support to all functional areas (Payroll/HRIS, Benefits).  In this fast-paced role, no two days are ever alike and the position consists of a combination of answering inquiries and processing related human resources transactions.

    Responsibilities

    • Back-up payroll processing
    • Assists with maintaining accuracy of payroll/HRIS system
    • Responds to telephone and electronic inquiries received from employees about various human resource programs, policies and procedures
    • Data entry of sensitive employee data (payroll transactions, new hire data, position/data changes, etc.).
    • Assists in researching and processing confidential information and documents, such as personnel records, reports and statistical information
    • Maintains Human Resources files including payroll documents, I-9 forms, new hire paperwork, termination files, labor law posters and other related documents
    • Assists with benefit eligibility and billing for employees
    • Actively monitors timely benefits enrollment
    • Assists in the compliance with federal and state laws, including OSHA, EEO-1, FMLA, etc.
    • Prepares reports
    • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the HR Director

    Qualifications

    • This position requires a two-year degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in human resources, business or related area. In the absence of a degree, two years of related experience is required.
    • General accounting experience and previous clerical support desired
    • Experience with HRIS system preferred (preferably Ceridian Dayforce)
    • Multi-state payroll experience helpful
    • Exceptional Customer Service and Organizational Skills with the ability to meet daily, weekly and monthy deadlines.
    • Must exhibit a strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
    • Must have a strong background in the use of technology to create process efficiencies in handling high volumes of information.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is helpful
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Refocus daily work priorities in an instant based on business need
    • Prioritize multiple work requests
    • Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude in high work volume situations
    • Maintain extreme confidentiality and use the utmost discretion

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
