    The Waterworks Outside Sales person is responsible for prospecting for new customers while maintaining business relationships with existing customers, carrying out the sales programs as assigned by First Supply’s management to promote the sale of waterworks products.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and develop new customer accounts
    • Manage sales volume and relationships with existing customers
    • Knowledge of core customers and First Supply Waterworks product line
    • Responsible to profitably grow sales to achieve yearly sales goals
    • Make regular sales calls to identify and determine client needs
    • Generate new sales opportunities via onsite visits, phone, email and other electronic communication
    • Coordinates with customers, vendors, accounts receivable and other departments in the organization to resolve customer service issues
    • Identifies customer products needs and coordinates execution of orders with other departments
    • Prepares and submits oral and written material quotations
    • Shares market and competitor information with applicable channels within the First Supply organization
    • Attends sales and product review meetings
    • Maintains records as required
    • Stays abreast of product developments, changes in local specifications and client preferences
    • Promotes proprietary specifications to local municipalities and engineers as directed by management
    • Participates in trade associations, customer functions and local business community affairs related to First Supply Waterworks’ business
    • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager

    Qualifications

    • 2-5 years of related experience in trade field
    • BS/BA in a related discipline is preferred
    • Knowledge of waterworks products and customers
    • Mathematical aptitude necessary for price quotations and margin production
    • Extensive travel required within local territory
    • Computer knowledge and skills with the ability to learn First Supply LLC’s  business system
    • Effective Social and negotiation skills
    • Valid drivers license and a driving record which meets underwriting standards
    • Ability to read, speak, understand and write English
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure
