The Branch Manager is responsible for achieving successful financial and talent objectives for their branch, as well as the local management presence for First Supply customers.


  • Assumes responsibility for attainment of financial goals as established by the Regional General Manager and approved by the Board of Directors
  • Supports the corporate educational plan for facility staff and ensures follow-through
  • Enforces corporate directed programs, including marketing, sales, purchasing, distribution, accounting/finance, safety, education and employee services
  • Assumes primary responsibility for efficient, cost-effective facility operation
  • Works closely on budget and sales forecasts with MSP Sales Manager and Regional General Manager
  • Assists Corporate Credit staff with collection of customer accounts
  • Approves wage, bonus and commission schedules in line with budget and operating constraints
  • Work within budgetary and corporate guidelines on expenditures for capital equipment with Regional Operations Manager and Regional General Manager
  • Manages the day-to-day activities of the facility, overseeing work accomplished by the managers and supervisors; ensures work is consistent with corporate policies and objectives
  • Ensures inventory management consistent with sales, cash flow and financial goals
  • Oversee sales, delivery, distribution, pricing, accounting and customer service
  • Assumes responsibility for the physical plant and maintenance
  • Reviews financial and operating reports; monitors all departments on a daily basis
  • Serves as the principal public relations spokesperson for the facility
  • Conducts regular staff meetings
  • Interacts effectively with customers, maintaining and developing customer relationships
  • Keeps abreast of industry trends; attends trade shows, conventions and seminars as appropriate or as directed
  • Performs the duties inherent in all supervisory positions

  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Regional General Manager



  • College degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive management experience with demonstrated success
  • 3+ years experience in a wholesale distribution enterprise
  • 2+ years experience with plumbing or HVAC or fluid handling
  • Solid computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • ERP experience required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interact with customers effectively in person and by telephone
