The Finance & Accounting Support Specialist would be responsible for aiding business planning and decision making tasks by providing appropriate financial analysis and reporting in such areas as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Creating/maintaining analytical tools for the accounting department to roll out for divisional use
  • Training the end users on how to use those tools to make better business/operational decisions to include collecting feedback from the end users on how we can streamline the reports currently provided
  • Meet regularly with facility managers to review financial statements and other financial reports (meeting may be via WebEx)
  • Review, analyze and report on facility, regional and consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow, including variances from plan, forecasts and prior year
  • Analyze, report and recommend income statement balance sheet and cash flow improvement opportunities, including improvements in efficiencies to Controller, CFO and/or other appropriate personnel
  • Assist with preparation of accurate forecasts and budgets for appropriate periods as directed
  • Assist with preparation of forecasts consistent with strategic plan
  • Ensure accuracy of financial reports prepared
  • Recommend new reports to facilitate financial performance improvement and analysis
  • Review reports and financial statements to improve understanding and facilitate ease of use
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Controller

Qualifications

  • Four year college degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 40% travel required
  • Computer knowledge and skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook and the ability to learn First Supply LLC’s business system
  • Satisfactory score on the Wonderlic Personnel Test and/or Caliper Assessment
  • Valid drivers license and a driving record which meets underwriting standards
  • Ability to read, speak, understand and write English
  • Attendance on a regular and consistent basis
