The Customer Service Manager implements the sales programs and policies as set forth by the Product Managers and Senior Management on a local basis.  The Customer Service Manager is responsible for the inside sales staff as well as customer service staff, their training and work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all customer service and counter personnel
  • Select, promote and discharge employees within the department in accordance with Company policies
  • Accept referral of all telephone calls requesting special or technical information or pricing information except job quotes
  • Secure accurate information from factories on shipments and deliveries and pass on to customers
  • Resolve customer complaints or refer the call to the individual who can resolve the complaint
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
  • Attend sales and product review meetings
  • Keep records as required
  • Stay abreast of product developments, changes in local codes and consumer preferences
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager

Qualifications

  • Three years experience in related trade field
  • Extensive plumbing and heating product knowledge
  • Computer knowledge and skills with the ability to learn First Supply LLC’s business system
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers by telephone
  • Satisfactory score on the Wonderlic Personnel Test and/or Caliper Assessment
  • Ability to read, speak, understand and write English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure
  • Attendance on a regular and consistent basis
